S. Clifton Willimon, M.D.

Dr. Cliff Willimon serves as an orthopedic surgeon at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Medical Director of the Altanta United Academy team. He is from LaGrange, Georgia and graduated summa cum laude from Wofford College in South Carolina. He completed his medical degree at Emory University and received orthopedic training from Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Willimon pursued additional training in Vail, Colorado at the Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute. During this time, he cared for professional athletes from the NFL, NHL, MBL, ATP/WTA and PGA Tours. In addition, he served as the team physician and medical provider for various ski and snowboard competitions, including the U.S. Women’s Alpine Team in the Audi FSI Ski World Cup Competition in Switzerland.

Dr. Willimon is a member of numerous prestigious academic societies and has been published in peer-review journals, has written book chapters and his work has been presented at national medical conferences. He specializes in various hip surgical procedures and is devoted to providing his patients advanced and personal care.
